AL-MUHSIN (المحسن) The Supreme Doer of Good

The Arabic word IHSAN is considered to have a dual meaning: goodness and excellence. Al-Muhsin is the One who is perfectly good in His Essence and who does all His actions in the best possible manner, achieving excellence and reaching ultimate beauty and perfection.

Evidence/s

  • The Prophet (ﷺ) said: “Surely Allah is Muhsin (Doer of Good) and He loves Ihsan (goodness) in everything; if you kill, kill in a good way and if you slaughter, slaughter in a good way….” [At-Tabarani and Al-Albani, Sahih Al-Jami]

Allah says to the MUHSININ

  • And whoever submits his face to Allah while he is a MUHSIN (doer of good), then he has grasped the most trustworthy handhold…. [Luqman 31:22]
  • And be patient; verily, Allah does not allow the reward of the MUHSININ (doers of good) to be lost. [Hud 11:115]

The Prophet (ﷺ) said about IHSAN
