Al-Karim, Al-Akram

AL-KARIM (الكريم) The Generous
AL-AKRAM (الأكرام) The Most Generous

AL-KARIM is the One whose generous essence is most esteemed, valued and honored. He is most generous, both physically and spiritually. He endlessly and continuously gives the grandest and most precious bounty, both to the deserving and not deserving. AL-AKRAM is the extreme form of AL-KARIM. “Al-Akram illustrates Allah’s divine essence and Al-Karim illustrates His actions.” [Al-Qurtubi]

Becoming a human is the best generosity that Allah has ever bestowed to His creations. – “And We have certainly honored the children of Adam…. [Al-Isra 17:170]

We are molded in the beautiful and perfect way. – “We have certainly created man in the best of stature (i.e., upright, symmetrical, and balanced in form and nature).” [At-Tin 95:4]

He further favored and selected us to become Muslims over all mankind. – “Indeed, they who have believed and done righteous deeds – those are the best of creatures.” [Al-Bayyinah 98:7]

ِAllah’s Book is Al-Karim

  • Indeed, it is a noble Qur’an. [Al-Waqi’ah 56:77]
