Al-Malik

AL-MĀLIK (المالك) The Owner
MᾹLIKUL MULK (مالك الملك) Owner of Sovereignty
AL-MALĪK (المليك) The Sovereign
AL-MALIKUL HAQQ (الملك الحق) The Only True King
MALĪKIM MUQTADIR (مليك مقتدر) The All-Powerful King
MALIKI YAWMID DIN (مَالِكِ يَوْمِ الدِّينِ) King of the Day of Judgment

AL-MALIK is the One who is lord and master over all worlds, seen or hidden. He is the sole owner, possessor, ruler and kind of all kingdoms, and no one shares His Kingdom. To Him belongs the kingdom of the heavens and the earth. He possesses all mastery and authority to decide in any manner, at any time, in any way. His ruling power is limitless.

MALIKI YAWMID DIN is the only Owner and the only Judge of the Day of Judgment. On that day, the sole King is Allah, for He is the only One who can command. – “Surely the virtuous shall be in Bliss, and the wicked shall be in the blazing Fire. They shall enter it on the Day of Recompense and then shall never come out of it. What do you know what the Day of Recompense is? Again, what do you know what the Day of Recompense is? It is the Day when no one will have the power to do anything for another, and all command will be Allah’s.” [Al-Infitar 82:13-19]

In the holy Quran, MULK (مُلْك) and MALAKŪT (مَلَكُوت) are mentioned and they both mean kingdom, kingship, dominion, sovereignty. – BIYADIHIL MULK (بيده الملك) … He in whose hand is the dominion…. [Al-Mulk 67:1]; BIYADIHI MALAKUTU KULLI SHAY (بيده ملكوت كل شيء) … in His Hand is the Sovereignty over everything…. [Al-Mu’minun 23:58]. Some scholars say that Malakut is the intensified form of Mulk, and others say Mulk refers to the physical dominion while Malakut is to the spiritual dominion.
