Are you sincere?

Wait! Check your intention first…

After opening your heart and your mind … prejudice erased … before starting your journey to search for the greatest treasure … CHECK YOUR INTENTION FIRST! Ask yourself before performing an action. Evaluate and judge your inward and outward actions. Be truthful and honest. SINCERITY is the main condition for your good deeds to be accepted. However, if you are just curious to know where you are leading to, then go on. I pray that you will find that sincerity along the way. – “Actions are but by intentions and every man shall have only that which he intended.”

Now you are quite ready…

OPEN HEART, OPEN MIND, NO PREJUDICE, SINCERITY … with these 4 equipped within you … you are quite ready to take your first step to find the GREATEST TREASURE…

Now, questions will start appearing in your mind … What is this greatest treasure? Why I have to look for it? Where is it? How will I find it? When will I find it? What will it benefit me? …

First clue: If you believe that every created thing has a Creator … then you have to know who created you? Therefore, what you are looking for is your CREATOR.

Mankind is just one of the creations of the Creator. But He (The Creator) honored mankind the highest among His creations. “Verily, We created man in the best stature (mold).” [At-Tin 95:4]

Let me ask you then, “Who created you?” Majority will reply, “My God, My Lord, the one up there in heaven.” That’s the correct answer.

If someone gave you something … If your boss promoted you … If your rich friend helped you to overcome your financial problems … what will be your reaction? The phrase “THANK YOU” is always a part of your vocabulary. How about being grateful to your Creator?

Ask yourself!

“What have I done so far in my life?”

You might say, “Enjoy life! I’m still young. I’ll take life seriously when I get old.” Now you are almost half a century on earth. You noticed many things have changed in you. You became weaker, you became sickly, and your youth is no more … So what now? Did it not come in your mind that death will come to anyone, anywhere, anytime, anyhow? If you believe that there is an eternal life after this material world … then act now before death strikes you. Hurry! There’s not much time.

Now I ask you, my fellow human, “Are you ready to go to the next life?” If your answer is “Yes,” then a follow-up question: Did you plant the right seeds? If your answer is “No,” you just wasted your time to trivial things that do not benefit you. The seeds you planted are fruitless because they are wrong seeds. All I can do for you is to remind you…. WAKE UP before it is too late. Find the greatest treasure … find your Lord, your God, your Creator …THE ONLY ONE TRUE GOD WORTHY OF WORSHIP.

So what should you do?

Open your heart… open your mind… without prejudice… only then you can start looking for the greatest treasure. Keep looking … and you will find Him, He is waiting for you … it is just a matter of time, for YOU to be guided … the decision is yours.

Found the treasure, at last

Why I became a Muslim? I just felt it in my heart that I am a believer.

While tidying up a mini- library in my employer’s house, I found a pocket-sized book entitled “THE MEANING OF THE GLORIOUS QURAN.” It is an explanatory translation in English by Mohammed Marmaduke Pickhall. I quickly scanned the pages and became preoccupied with it. Every chance I get, I read the book in secrecy, afraid that I am not allowed to read it. Ever since, my heart is telling me something that I cannot understand. I became more curious to know what is in store about this religion. These feelings developed inside me and I want to satisfy my curiosity.

My father is an acolyte while my mother is a catechist. People knew us as a religious family. So it was really hard for me to make a decision. I got more books, and I had one intention in my mind, I wanted my parents to have a look at it and let me see their opinion. But to my dismay, they did not even give a quick glance. They told me that I cannot become a Muslim and they discouraged me to forget anything that will lead me to it. They said Muslims and Christians are just the same, they believe in one God. They only differ in their ways of worship. With their reaction, I needed more time to think …to be or not to be a believer of Islam.

My next employers were Buddhists. I noticed a lot of things about this religion. I managed somehow to catch a glimpse of their religious book. And I found out that there is a big difference compared to Islam.

Having knowledge about the three major monotheistic religions: Christianity, Islam and Buddhism … being a Christian, mingled with Muslims and Buddhists … that doubt I had in me became as clear as the sunny day. I found the treasure, at last! This time I am sure of myself … I did not waste time and became Muslim at once!

I still remember during my childhood, my mother taught me to say the following prayer before going to bed … “O GOD! GUIDE ME ALWAYS.” I still do until now. That day, my prayer was finally fulfilled to its fullest.
